I know that's small potatoes for most of you, but I'm new at this and out of shape...but getting better every day
Small potatoes nothin', that's a solid commute. Good work!

Last day of spring break, and I'm still recovering from the week of awesome skiing that Ullr decided to bless us Alaskans with. Beautiful blue sky and a lovely 15*F lured me out this evening to run some errands. Went out to the Coastal Trail, which is still too haggard from the recent snowfall to enjoy on bike. Downtown streets were, as always, fun.

Rode a few miles out of my way into the Fairview ghetto, just to remind myself why I enjoy no longer living there. The Monkeylights set off a bunch of hooting and hollering from a pack of bums on the way out. Swung by Glacier Brewhouse to refill the growler, dropped by City Market for some produce, and took the streets all the way home.

Sunset touched off some wicked alpenglow on the freshly whitened Chugach as I turned east into the home neighborhood. Had to pull over for a bit just to soak it in.
