Are the Shimano AX top mount DT shifters a direct replacement for the Suntour Symmetric.
Will they directly bolt on to the same square braze-on as the Suntour does? I know this has been discussed before, but I am still not clear about this Shimano top mount shifter. Outside of finding another Symmetric, has anyone just installed a dt mounted shifter to replace the Symmetric and used the braze-on as a stop (boss) for the lever assembly?
