I'm power bumping my thread

I'm getting a bit tired of my RD2 Messenger set, and might look for something to replace it and at the same time go for an "easier" gearing than my current 48/17 (which is way to much for me). I'm a light guy, sub-70kg, any suggestions for a teeth count on a new chainring?

I would like something a bit industrial looking like this: THIS or: THIS.
