in all seriousness, isn't this more of a detriment to training than just staying on the trainer for a few days? 1) you're killing your bike 2) you're running the risk of injury
But I really am stupid for riding in some of this crap. I have no choice. I'll kill myself if I don't get the endorphins. I'd rather die on the road. You think I'm kidding? I am not. I don't care what anybody thinks. I don't do this for them.
But it is fun whining about it afterwards on BF.
Grumpy- been there done that, but the endorphins make me forget about the suffering an hour after the ride and I want to do it again. I totally agree, I wouldn't be able to handle that suffering indoors on a trainer. I don't know how guys like Gary do that. They are better at suffering than I'll ever be. More power to them, it pays off on race day.
