I made a fairly major purchase from Ribble last month with absolutely no problems. Re Assos kit from another thread:

Assos Luftschutz jacket (white), Roubaix F1 Mille Bibknickers and Intermediate Evo long sleeve jersey (white).

I'm 6' 0.5" tall and currently 169 lbs. I bought XL in everything for the length. Bulk wise, I'm probably a L in lower half of my body and a M in the chest, and I'm always in-between sizes in height. I've found that longer is usually better, as long as it's not bulky.

These 3 pieces work fairly brilliantly together on an early spring day in the 50's under bluebird skies.

Luftschutz - gossamer light, wonderful garment. Looking forward to using it in various conditions (fog, light rain, increasing temps). It packs extremely small.

Bibs - adequate air infiltration protection and still feels like a second layer of skin. I've been using PI bibs (which I really like), and the Assos are much lighter but still get the job done. In lower 40's, they start out feeling a little too light. They've got a Roubaix fabric on legs and center of crotch, but around crotch is very light fabric that doesn't provide much wind resistance. The benefit is a feeling of very little constriction in the area where your legs are pumping up and down, and good ventilation.

Intermediate Evo LS jersey : Winner or the bunch (if you like LS jerseys). Great combination of lightness and air blocking. Full zipper works great. The chest area has a silver windbloc insert that really works.

I also purchased the F1 Uno and Mille shorts. I'm not real impressed with the F1's at this point but they didn't cost that much. Haven't worn the Milles yet. F1 Uno S5 - $127; F1 Mille S5 - $168; Uno SS Jersey - $103.

Update: Got in a couple of rides in the Mille shorts this weekend, a little over 100 mi. altogether. They work fine - virtually unnoticeable during and after the rides, which is what you look for. Even though I'm probably missing a little compression by going to the XL in everything, the length is perfect. The Uno SS jersey worked really well. The detail of the zipper fitting, and ease of engagement and use is first rate. The back pockets are a bit large (saggy) but when you start stuffing arm/leg warmers and the Luftschutz in there mid-ride, the volume is appreciated.
