You should be fine. I am running Altenburger (what they slapped on when Weinmann was not available in the boom era, FWIK) center-pulls on a 73 record with 700c alloy Weinmann rims. The fronts are 3/4 the way down, and the rears are nearly at max drop but they mate up perfectly.
