Sold my '90 Burley Duet-weighed over 50# with 48 spoke wheels and drum. Now ride a "93 Santana Visa with new Dyad Velocity 40 spoke wheels and no drum...41#'s. The weight saving is significant, and the bike feels lighter! I think that this is more a function of stiffer butted tubes and much lighter wheels, than the overall weight. I think that it is the quality of the weight loss more than the sheer quantity that counts!!
