I got Superbe hoods in very good condition and I want to keep them that way for a long time. Besides never using them, what's a way to keep them soft and pliable? Some sort of oil wipe?

Also, I'm using dark brown synthetic cork tape but would like it slightly darker. Is there alternatives to darkening bar tape other than shellac and riding it a lot? Shoe polish or dark oil maybe?
