Better dead than Red or Fred.
By the way, speaking of Fred, I got off my bike today 1100 meters into the approx. 1300 meter Cain Road climb because I had blown every friggin gasket and pulled into a driveway to rest before resuming the climb. And I wasn't far from the top, but I was done. In other words I bailed on the climb. I can't
ever remember having to do that before. I had a 39 x 25, the gear was too stiff for the prolonged 20%+ grade. The last time I climbed that particular hill with that gearing I was 10 lbs lighter. That's a March wake up call right there.
Happily the rest of the hill intervals went more smoothly. Those didn't have 20% grades. I'm too fat for this sport.
