I agree with you, Jim: There's a tendency to assume that 50th gruppos add more to the value of a built bike than I think tends to be the case.
It looks like there's a parted out 50th group on Ebay, we'll find out soon enough what the values are!!! I did some quick math and at the moment its $800+ w/o a FD, headset, BB and brake levers.
There's a complete De Rosa w/ a 50th group thats at $1800 w/ 8 days to go.
