Do you think it's worth it? I am not a long disance, fitness rider. I'm mostly going to use it to ride to work occasionally (about 5 miles) and around this lake near my house.

I have no idea what is a good deal and what is not since I know very little about bikes or their components.
If someone knowledgeable has some free time and wants to help me out, maybe they can look at craigslist in Boston and see if they can find me a nice bike at a decent price in this size. Only if you like browsing the ads and have some free time though. I know it's a lot to ask of someone I don't even know so if I'm out of line just let me know.
I would very much appreciate it.
FYI: I am 6'2" tall, with a 33-34"inseam - occasional rider - looking for a decent all around bike without spending more than $250.00
