Campy Cassette Bent tooth
Was lubing the chain after last night's ride and noticed on my 12-25 Centaur 10s cassette that the 12t cog had a bent tooth. The tooth is bent outboard toward the chainstay. 1st, no idea how it happened and second, don't know how a tooth can bend outboard on the smallest cog because there is no shifting to a smaller cog in the smallest cog position.
My questions are...can the tooth be bent back into position without degrading tooth strength? Is this worth a try?
Anybody here ever do this? Its only 1 tooth that is bent.
Or...is it best to replace the cog?...presuming that would be best. Centaur 10s cassettes are made up of separate cogs. Anybody know who sells an individual 12t Centaur cog?
The cassette has less than 500 miles on it and really don't want to replace it yet.
Thanks for any advice.
