Today was my day on the kludged together TT bike day. I kind of sucked because this has been a pretty high volume week with some intensity thrown in, so my legs are pretty tired. Anyway, today's ride was two 15 minute blocks in the bars riding into a very slight quartering headwind (about 3 mph). I kept both blocks at a pretty steady 24.5 mph.
After that I turned around and did some easy riding in the bars as well as some upright spinning. Just for grins I did 10 minutes at the same perceived effort as the blocks heading out and I was going a little bit faster than 25 mph. Just a small confirmation of the slight headwind.
My deep section wheels should get here pretty soon and I probably should get one of those spaceman TT helmets as well. Every little bit helps and I need all the help I can get.
