Hi Marksru16, I understand. Nature makes us all different, you can adjust a lot of things on a bike by lowering / raisin or moving back and forth the seat, changing the crank length, changing the stem size, etch but the only way you could reduce the standover size would be by placing smaller rims (650 versus 700) which is not such a good idea. In my case standover was not an issue (I'm like 31 inches) and the fitter was able to make the medium worked for me by making a few adjustments and installing a shorter stem (80mm, he said 90mm would work but I wanted a more relax posture) but he did say that a small would had provided a fit with a "regular or typical" stem size (100mm and above).
