Thanks for the BB info guys.

I was considering cutting the other end of the handlebars open, and re-wrapping the bars with cork over the faux stuff. My concern there is the faux wrap is an off color of blue, which might clash with the black tape around the brake hoods. If I remove the faux wrap would the dia-compe/cane creek non-aero hoods work on these drilled Weinmenn levers?

Retaining the faux wrap isn't a HUGE deal to me, despite it being original. I thought wrapping over it would be good for my larger hands. This bike is a rider/commuter, not looking for a 100% authentic restore.

@Bianchigirl - He he, yeah, I figured this was quicker than waiting for the mods to move it. The guys in Bicycle Mechanics aren't quite as friendly to old bikes. Thanks though!
