It's been just fabulous. Still warm, some wind sometimes but not usually in the morning. Light traffic (although the baseball games start tomorrow so that'll all end in chaos - using bike video cam tomorrow to record ride near the stadium area as game ends and drivers get stuck in the construction..). Warm weather is great. I need to get my warm weather riding shirts out at this point already. Of course I may have just jinxed that.
Yesterday interesting incident: another cyclist & I waiting in right lane at light at Fairview/Denny. Tour bus on our left (I rode with him up Fairview - good driver). SUV behind us and a Metro bus behind him. Light turns green, cyclists proceed straight, SUV turns right onto Denny. Hear revving engine gaining speed behind me then "bbeeeeeeeeeeeep! beeeeeep! beeee...CRUNCH." The tour bus has completely pinned a little black Honda to the curb. Other cyclist and I look at each other, shrug, and proceed with no traffic following us (due to entire northbound lanes being blocked). Glad it wasn't us, but suspect that the driver of the bus, after the SUV turned right, was proceeding with a lane change and the little black car (fast accelleration) either made a quick right onto Fairview and tried to pass the bus, or zoomed from behind the bus and tried to pass (getting stuck behind us cyclists) and ended up in the blind spot of the bus.
