I wish I would have read that before I went to the bike shop and spent $10 on a little tiny thing of the lube they recommended. I basically did what you said about paying for it, he took $100 and seemed happy. I did play dumb. Well before I even bought it I replaced a tube, so that showed that I wanted it. They are moving out of a house and into an apartment anyway, and I doubt he will have room for it.

I went for a 4 hour bike ride yesterday with it. My gf and I went to a local park, she has a cruiser, so I am limited to how hard I can ride. It still is nice getting outside and doing something. I really like running to the store with it, no need to start a vehicle, just jump on and ride. I feel like I get to places that are 5 blocks away faster on a bike than in a car. I also have a lot more fun doing it.

Well thanks for the recipe for lub, I will probably use this next, since I'm sure I'll be oiling a lot for awhile and will run out of that little bottle I got.
