Thank you for both of your replies, I am glad I can put that BB30 nonsense to rest. I suppose my lack of practical experience with BBs had me second guessing myself. I will definitely study the page(s) from the Park Tool website and familiarize myself with the process and tools before starting the install. I have read that these GXP BB need to be faced properly to work, I was thinking maybe that is a job for my local bike shop.

It seems that I misunderstood the ISIS designation. I will have to take another look at that and see if I can't get a better understanding of what it means. If I could ask: The actual parts I was going to use was SRAM GXP cranks and Truvativ GXP BB Cups ( English Threaded ). Will this be okay?

I had been considering buying a new bike, I think for me though I would have to make the jump to a bike that was in the 4000 - 6000 euros range to get something that would be noticeably better. Right now I can't just can't afford or justify spending that much. I would love to be riding a Cervelo S3 or Cannondale Super 6 well there are plenty of machines out there I would like to be on.

My Cannondale though is a great bicycle, always a smooth ride.
