well....i was out eating today and a group of riders was in the cafe. One of the bikes one of the guys was riding had a bike with crank arms that were the width of 2x4s and stranger than that......they were both in down 6 oclock position. I sat there and stared at it while i ate my food. When the guy left he had to start cranking with one leg and then clipped in with the other.

The crank arms were independent of one another from what i could tell. The bike was very very high end and probably not somthing ill ever be able to afford. I thought it was neat. Anyone ever ridden with these style cranks? No idea what kind they were. THe bike was a brand i had never seen (probably a custom carbon frame) or pronounce.

Thought it was pretty neat. Ive never seen a bike with independant crank arms before.
