see that tab on the back cage?? you just catch that underneath the ball of your foot and roll the pedal back and slide in to the clip. not hard, but clipless is easier imho. campy strada pedals always gave me hell, the track ones are better. I am a big fan of the current white industries pedals but they are $$$
