I had no problem outrunning my cocky 16yr old on his BMX bike on my beat up old commuter...much to his chagrin, since the bet was over who was gonna clean out the gutters.
That said, you actually need to know you gotta haul ass before it's too late to haul ass and you gotta know where you are hauling ass to better than they do.
