Other than adapting sealed bearings to bikes, what is the "great" impact that he had on cycling?
He was an inventor, but I've not found any other connection of his to cycling, racing, promotion, culture, politics.
Why is everyone lauding him as a "cycling legend"?

I'm not being flippant, but I've searched and come up with little.
