Campy 10 speed double with 7-speed chain?

I just got a nice new Veloce 10 speed compact crankset, and I'm planning to use it on a 7-speed bike with a 7 or 9 speed chain, probably Sram PC-951. On another bike with a similar set-up I get occasional scraping of the chain on the big chainwheel, when in the smallest or next-smallest rear sprocket. I think I've seen sets of chainring spacers intended to increase teh chainwheel spacing back to 9 or 8-speed levels, but don't know which one to get - Branford had a load of sizes and not much clear wisdom on selection, at least back when I looked. What thickness of spacer do I need?

Knowing this I can even snip some out from aluminum or brass shim stock.
