I hope, just a hope mind you, that those who are saying they don't have to stop at stop signs because they don't see car drivers putting a foot down are just engaging in some humor of their own. If they aren't it doesn't speak well to either their intellectual capacity or their respect for others on the road.



By the way, for me it all depends on where I am. If I am in my home neighborhood I always come to at least a standing stop and clear traffic all ways. On a busier roadway I come to a complete stop and put a foot down so the other traffic knows what I am doing. Since communication with other highway users is so important I don't use the allowed signaling with either hand option since most of them won't have a clue. I signal only with my left hand using standard signals.
