I don't think you're off at all...all of these annoy me, especially #2. I had a guy this morning who insisted on trying to get ahead of me at each and every light despite the fact that I'd overtake him half way through the next block. He was on a bombed out department store POS with 26 inch wheels and I was on my Merlin Ti...of course he's not staying ahead of me, but he kept trying to stay in front of me...which included attempting to block me from passing. I finally had enough and pulled off for a different street.
I experience this quite often, and in many cases, the person is not even trying to stay in front of me! Instead, the person just rolls up to right in front of me at a light. I wait until we get through the intersection and there is a gap in traffic and I take the lane and pass the person. Then, at the next light, the person does the same thing. I pass them again just as before. And at the next light, here comes that person again. Over and over and over. If any of you are local to SF, this happens to me on Market St. all of the time, particularly because of how the lights are timed. Totally maddening.
