I had my local shop install some new Profile 3 piece cranks into a new frame and picked it up yesterday. When I got home I really got to thinking how the cranks weren't spinning very well:

Pretty bad - isn't it? I can't imagine how it would feel to wrap a chain around it and pedal.

I also noticed that when looking from the side, the chainwheel has a slight off center wobble to it. Almost like its center is just a millimeter off.

My friend suggested that it might have been threaded incorrectly onto the axle. I am going to bring it to the shop today.

What kinds of things should I suggest they look at in fixing it?
