Unfortunately I had to ride this morning because I'm babysitting my granddaughter in about an hour. It was still nippy. I would have liked it to be warmer.

I came up to another roadie at a stop light. I said hi. He noticed that I had a nice bike and was kitted out reasonably stylishly.

When the light turned green he got out of his saddle and sprinted.

I didn't care. I doubt I could have caught him anyway but I didn't even try. I was too relaxed.

I might have snapped some pictures but there wasn't anything very interesting I came across. This time of year the daffodils and a few crocuses are in bloom but that's about it.

My Ascent said I averaged 97 watts and had a 5 minute peak of 260. I doubt the latter, because I didn't exert much effort. I didn't really care to.

I avoided hills like the administration avoids CBO estimates. I didn't miss them at all.

I got home and drank an Ale 8-1. Don't knock it 'til you try it.
