i don't know if that is the best logic to use here. if you are going to upgrade the 105 stuff later, presumably it will be because something goes wrong with the 105 stuff to begin with. that probably won't happen for many thousands of miles, and at that point the ultegra stuff has a good chance of going bad and needing to be replaced, too.
if you like both bikes EXACTLY EQUALLY, you could just spend less money and have more leftover for when you have to replace the 105 stuff later. if you would have bought ultegra in the future either way, then the future repair is a wash. why not save money now?
of course, if you REALLY want to save money, try the felt f70, all 105-drivetrain for $1079. the frame is pretty similar to the f65's frame, i think the main differences are the wheels and components.
