Well. Good news and bad news. I couldn't find the procedure because I kept looking in the hub documents rather than the shifter documents as you suggested. However, I did get the hub adjusted as you also suggested. I have since found that document.

That was great for a few days, but during my commute in this morning, the cable came loose from the "inner cable fixing bolt unit". From the instructions, this looks like something I can fix although I'm not going to try this at work. I'll get a ride home and try it tonight.

Are there any tips or tricks that will make this go more smoothly?
