Drive Train Component Replacement Questions

I have a 1998 Gary Fisher Aquila (specs) that needs some drive components replaced. The deraillers are fine, but everything else has been let's say, well used for the past 10 years. My main question is about parts compatibility with the STX-RC rear derailler.

The STX-RC looks like it came with a set of IG (interglide) components, with a chain width of 7.1mm. Most parts for sale now are labeled "HG" and are a width of 7.4mm. I assume these are not interchangeable, but I really don't know. Right now I'm looking at these parts for replacing the cassette, chain, and crankset but I need to know if they will be compatible with my rear derailler. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks!
