I think most of the advice here is great, especially about riding up to 60-75 the week leading up to the event and properly hydrating. Don't listen to people who say 100 miles is not a big deal. For an ultramarathoner, 26 miles is "just another number" as well but it's still more than most of us run (or ride) regularly.
