I have a Schwinn Crisscross (hybrid) with Suntour X-press Accushift Plus shifters. The trigger on the right shifter broke off (plastic) yesterday after 13 years of use. Anyway, is it possible to replace these shifters with generic bar mount friction shifters, or do I have to stay with the same components. Is one better than another? I don't want to spend a fortune. The deraillers are Suntour as well.
