if you want to do it PRO style, double the proportions on your ground coffee to water. Brew it normally (like hot coffee), and pour over a cup that is prefilled with ice.
The ice will melt under the hot coffee but still leave you with ice to keep it cold once it reaches a chilled temp. Also, because you brewed it stronger, once enough ice melts it will effectively become "regular" strength.
You really need the water to be hot to bring out the complexity of the flavor profile. "Cold brewing," while it does work is much flatter, IMO.
