Question for Ride Organizers

I've been asked to select a route for an approximate 30 mile ride, as part of a Health, Fitness, and Safety Expo, sponsored by a local hospital. The route that seems to be the best choice, would allow us to have a rest stop at one of their clinics. We'd ride to clinic (8 miles, first rest stop), make a loop then back to the clinic (about 18 miles), then back to the starting point. It would be about 34 miles. Only problem I see is the distance between the first and second rest stop, 18 miles. I know that's farther than rest stops on MS rides I've done, but it is only 34 miles.
Does this sound reasonable, or would we need to do another rest stop, to break up the 18 miles?
