I've always used the Park peel and stick patches and they are permanent. No idea about other brands.
I am not sure of Park, I was using earlier products. The Park link was just to show the type of patch I was talking about.
What tire pressure do you run. I think the pre-glue patches probably last at under 60 pounds but not at the tire pressures of 100-110 that I run.
