I'm going to Nyack solo tomorrow later in the day because I think I caught a cold today on the MTIR ride out to Long Island; not going to try and wake up @ 5:00AM like usual.
I'll have to ride it more to really give it a fair comparison but just from the initial two outings it's certainly more responsive than the BMC which I love as it is so I think the Orbea is going to be a lot of fun to ride. I noticed that the climbs I went on were a little smoother but again new bike placebo can sometimes distort one's perception but as I rode back home today I said to myself "man this rides like butter"...I can't say I've ridden butter but I digress. Shoot me a PM if you'll be at the GWB between 8-9am because I'll probably be heading out around that time.

Yes I picked it up yesterday after a lot of negotiating with the Mrs.! I like the orange as well and they use a less vibrant orange which doesn't give it a neon look. I'm done with buying new bikes unless they explode on me because I finally nailed down the fit on both. Don't dismiss Scott or Cervelo because they make some really nice bikes and I was seriously considering the Addict and the Cervelo R3 but didn't like the fact the Addict (with the exception of the LTD) have the Shimano integrated BB which means I couldn't build it up with SRAM easily.

It's a very smooth ride and responds really quickly when you put the effort in, which was a nice feeling as I was zipping along the Greenway on my way home Friday. I was wondering whether they ordered the wrong cassette because I felt like I was getting much more output in the same gears I use on my BMC, it felt that way today too. This bike's probably 1 1/2 to 2lbs lighter than my BMC so I'm sure that factors into it as well; the handling is really nice as well plus it's stiff but not harsh at all. I have my Williams 19s on it which compared to my Fulcrum 7 on the BMC are much lighter and roll smoother.
