About a month after I got my first clipless pedals. I was at the intersection of Rock Creek Park Trail and Rock Creek Parkway as shown here. As you can see the path is sloped sideways here. I was on the right side of the pic traveling to the left. I stopped at the intersection and unclipped. Unfortunately for me, it had just stopped raining and the ground was quite wet. When I put my left foot down, I had no traction with my funky LOOK cleats and I proceeded to do a painful spread-eagle/fail and ended up with the bike on top of me as I rolled off to the left in a ball of shame. After which ensued a whole bunch of honking from passing motorists and some chuckles from passing cyclists. That was nearly 8 years ago but I still remember it like it was yesterday
