Hi everyone,
I recently aquired this frame from a good friend, who bought it a couple years back from some store. The frame had a very nice fork with a double-plate fork crown, but unfortunately it was bent in a crash, as were the top and down tubes (though just a little).
The following images show the serial number, which is stamped on the left side of the seat tube under the seat cluster — 6094. And a number stamped on the bottom bracket shell — 25.
It looks like the head tube lugs and ends were chromed:
I'm going to have a local shop owner (oldtimer) with experience in repairing frames replace the two tubes to make it rideable again. He's also got an old track fork with a straight crown lying around somewhere (or so he says) which I will hopefully be buying from him.
Anyway, no one's been able to tell me or even give me guess as to the make of the frame. The shop owner said it probably dates from the 50's or 60's because of the ends, which he said were stamped rather than forged (?) like modern ends.
The frame originally had a badge, judging from the two holes on the head tube. Sorry I don't have a picture — I've pointed out where the two holes are in the fourth picture though.
Anyone have any idea what it might be?
Thank you everyone!
S.
