Felt good to throw those dozen bikes in the recycling bin. I didn't even bother to give them to the store, just melt 'em down. Good stuff mostly, but CRAP in my book.
It's a small contribution, but maybe

Come now, the point really was to build a bike for the fewest dollars that the judges liked. It was a completely subjective contest based solely on the tastes and preferences of the judges. Did we the contestants know what they would like? Of course not. The only thing we knew is that we would receive more points for fewer dollars spent. That was the only certainty.
BTW, I have some Raleigh Sports, Robin Hood, and Schwinn EF frames banging around here in NH if you want one for your next build. Let me know!
