Bikes: IRO Jamie Roy (fixed-gear commuter), Gary Fisher Rig 29er SS, Trek Madone 5.5, Specialized Allez Comp, Marin Mt. Vision Pro, Specialized M2 Hardtail, beater Nishiki fixed-gear conversion, Gary Fisher Rig 29er SS

Mixed bag today.

Nice ride in this morning and I encountered two other bicycle commuters. That's two more than I usually see. So that was kind of cool.

Got a flat about a mile into my ride home and had to stop and fix it. That's a PITA on a fixie, and it took quite a scrubbing to get my hands clean when I got home. I probably should have used the nitrile gloves I keep in my tool kit. They're in there for a *reason*. Is there no way to change a flat w/o handling the chain?

A concerned motorist pulled over, as I was reinstalling the rear wheel, to see if everything was ok. That surprised me.

Think I've been overdoing it lately. Between racing, all-out group training rides, and commuting my achilles is acting up again. Probably gonna stay off the bike the rest of the week until this weekend at Sea Otter.
