Quite recently I was driving my vehicle and as I came to the crest of a hill I met a pickup truck in my lane. I hit the brakes and laid on the horn. The other driver saw me and swerved hard to miss. His maneuver caused the black lab in the back of his truck to fly out into my path. The dog hit the grille of my truck.
Dog lived. Insurance payed for damages to the front of my vehicle. I'm VERY glad I decided to take my truck instead of my bike on that errand.
