My ride yesterday wasn't by bike, but by car. I made a trip down to Portland to deliver a Gitane TDF frame I had sold on CL.
The guy who bought it, a nice young fellow, just happened to be project manager for Vanilla Bicycles Speedvagen project. He didn't mind allowing me to come in for a shop tour and I had the pleasure of seeing first hand a Vanilla bike being built as well as a complete bike ready for delivery. totally awesome.
My picture doesn't begin to do justice to such a piece of handcrafted art. I was told the shop was in a bit of disarray as they are preparing for a move to new facilities. My humble Gitane frame sits in the work stand, soon to become a town bike for the guys wife.
