With all due respect to "expierenced" mechanics, I totally disagree that "feel" is accurate. I worked 47 years on office machines, many of which had very specific torque specs. One modern printer had hammers that had to be torqued to 14 inch pounds. If they were over torqued, it ruined a $6000 print assembly. I had too many co-workers that thot they had the "touch" and cost the office tens of thousands of dollars. When working with aluminium and carbon fibre, take my advice and use the torque wrench. And BTW it will prevent break downs on the road.
