Rt 1 is a lousy cycling road in a few places. I ride in the area you are talking about and live right next to Providence. What area of Prov. do you want to end up in? rt 152 down from Attleboro is better and brings you right next to the east side of Providence. I may be going the opposite way on Friday. Try msn maps for 126, I was riding on it Saturday. Parts of 138 are narrow and with some big potholes too.
edit post: 126 is actually "RT 123" this map will show 138 to 123 to 152 towards Providence.

cool, this is what i was looking for. ill probably end up taking this route. i will eventually be heading to the west side of providence (i think west. broadway/westminster/olneyville area). depending on how long it takes i might have time to kill and will just end up bumming around downtown. thanks agian
