Check out the LARIO map on TrailLink. It has it all. Except the correct mileage. More than 17.

You can ride from the ocean up to the Peck Rd. Water Conservation Park on the LARIO, doing the LA River Bikeway, the Lower Rio Hondo (nice ride), then a bit of sidewalk and cross at the light and back at San Gabriel Blvd. This is how you cross the river. Then up thru the Whittier Narrows and long the Upper Rio Hondo to Peck Lake.

If you don't mind a bit of cross lots in mostly residential streets, you go from Peck Lake over to the SGRT, pop into the Lower Azuza Rd. access on the SGRT and ride south to the Four Corners at the dam, thence back to the Lower Rio Hondo at San Gab. Blvd and down.

We staged out of Legg Lake and it was about a 19 mile loop of Upper RH x SGRT and cross connectors.

Those who don't mind riding streets in Paramount can cut over to the new Bellflower Bike Trail which ends at Paseo x Lakewood and take it down to the SGRT above Liberty Park.

Straight line from sea to Peck Lake is about 27 miles plus. More on trail as it bends, etc.
