The search function on BF is legendary for having been ported from Bizarro-World. You would think that along with the wonderful interface overhaul that nobody asked for, someone might have looked into Search; but I guess that's the ironic cherry on the BF sundae.
Its not specific to BF, its any forum running vBulletin 4.0
