I called up a local welder who converted an old lawn trailer (usually pulled behind a riding lawn mower).

I'm too lazy to take more pictures, so I'll explain how it's mounted. He took two metal pieces (removable) and bolted them to the seat stays. The metal pieces come around behind tire and end in a hitch that allows the trailer to move horizontally and also rotate (I think this might be "pitch" and "yaw"???). Anyway, everything fits in the back. Hauled my equipment about a mile today to mow a yard. Quite pleased.
