Hi guys, I have recently had a 53T/39T crank installed on my bike. Tonight I was cleaning it (the bike) and noticed that NOT ALL the teeth on the 53T chain ring are pointy, some are a bit squares as if they were missing the point. Is this normal? I began to really examine the chain ring because I have been having trouble changing into the larger 53T. The chain would engage on the teeth at once. It would rather slide for 1/2 " or so before engaging.

Tomorrow I am going to go to my BS but I need a second opinion; is my chain ring showing sings of premature wear due to improper deralier adjustment? Or is the teeth condition I am describing normal?
