Yeah, it's that kind of day.

I forgot to mention earlier. I had a mildly annoying interaciton with a school bus. It seems like a significant portion of bus drivers just don't think too clearly are are just too impatient. Anyway, this was on a stretch of road where there are two lanes and absolutely no shoulder beyond the fog line, where the road is rather hilly. I came to an all-way stop. The bus was behind me by quite a bit, at least a quarter mile, when I stopped. The bus honked at me as I pulled away from the stop.... no problem, okay, I know you're there... I had to climb a hill after pulling away from the stop, and by the time I got to the top the bus was closing on me.... so he beeped again. Okay, so you want to get through; I understand that. But with no shoulder, where did he expect me to go? Besides, I was over the top and doing about 25-30 down the other side of the hill. I controlled the lane, taking away any possibility of a pass since there was oncoming traffic. I came up to the next 4-way stop, signaled my right turn, and turned. Danged bus turned too. Again, there was oncoming traffic. The bus was crowding me a bit, but I held my position and held my left arm out and down to let him know I knew he was there and that I did not think it was a good idea to pass. The line of oncoming cars finally passed and I shifted right a bit and waved the bus by.

I don't know, maybe the bus driver thought he was being helpful by honking to let me know he was there, or maybe he was impatient and really wanted to pass. That's the problem- you just can't tell. So I treat them all like a threat. Maybe I was just being oversensitive. The bus didn't blow by me, just did a normal pass.

But.... it was mildly annoying.
