thanks for your comments, it's confirmed what I had already guessed.
Yeah the pedals are wierd and infact unridable, so I just bought some new ones.
I have not had the chance to even ride this bike yet! still waiting for new tires and pedals to arrive from ebay.
Anybody have any catalogues from the late 80's?
